Advancement of Hysterectomy Laparoscopy

Hysterectomy is a medical term for the procedure of removing the uterus of a woman from different techniques. In Medical science there is a process to perform a hysterectomy procedure is called a laparoscopic hysterectomy. This is not as invasive as other surgeries.

The main purpose of undergoing laparoscopic surgery is to identify and cure the cause of pelvic or abdominal pain and for such critical medical conditions. This surgery also for treating Tumor, Collection of fluid in the abdominal cavity, Cancer staging, Liver illnesses, Hernia, Appendicitis, Endometriosis, Uterine fibroids, Uterine prolapse, and more problems for women. In the experience of any of these issues, a hysterectomy is the last option. There are many kinds of Hysterectomy, it depends on the female reproductive system.

For the procedure of surgery, it goes through three primary modes there are as follows:

TOTAL ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY – In this procedure, the uterus is removed through an incision in your abdomen. Due to this incision, the post-operative pain is more and recovery takes up to 6 weeks. The hospital stay of the patient is 3-7 days.

VAGINAL HYSTERECTOMY – In this procedure, the uterus is completely removed from the vagina. It can be done in cases with or without prolapse. It is the least painful and most comfortable for the patient. The post-operative recovery is quick. The hospital stay of the patient is 1-2 days and the woman can resume her activity in 1-3 weeks.

LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY – This surgery is performed using small holes at the umbilicus through which a telescope is inserted. This gives the details of the uterus and the pathology. 2-3 more small incisions are made that aids in performing the surgery. Small holes give quick recovery and return to work. The hospital stay of the patient is 2-3 days.

There is also another process for this surgery it totally depends on Robotic Medical Science which is called ROBOT ASSISTED HYSTERECTOMY. Basically, it is an advanced Laparoscopic surgery where surgery proceeds by similar keyhole incisions with the robot or computer assistance.

In end, we are going to discuss the benefits of Laparoscopic Surgery. This surgery has less risk of bleeding as well as after the surgery less risk of the pain of incision. Therefore, the patient doesnt need long-term pain relief medications. In this process less of the scarring of the incision after surgery. Most of the surgery is full of larger surgical wounds and the scar tissue that forms is more prone to infection but this laparoscopic surgery has no risk of post-operative infection.
